So, I definitely am ready to get done with school. I am so ready to get to SFA, I can barely stand it. but that isn't what I'm here to talk about.
Within the last 3 weeks, two of my very good friends got their hearts stomped on by the men they love. I want to help them so much, but unfortunately, I don't have that power. They each need someone to be there for them. From this situation, I've begun thinknig that maybe I'm happy I'm single because I don't want to be unhappy. I don't want my heart to be hurt by someone. It sucks... been there done that. I don't want that to happen again. But part of me wants to have it no matter how bad it hurts. Sometimes, love is pain, right? I really want to find that Mr. Right.

Life. The Good, the Bad, and the Hopeless.
So, here it roughly 6 weeks away from Summer. First off, WOOT!, second of all, Holy SHIT~ I just realized that technically I have blew my whole first two years of college. I messed around and played it safe by taking stupid French classes that won't carry over when I transfer and ruining everything that I established. But... there are some things I'd rather talk about.
THE GOOD...
THE GOOD...
- I am only 5 months from SFA and my amazing sorority sisters
- I have my best friend standing behind me
- My family loves me and supports me
- Although, I thought I was alone, it turns out that I'm not. I have amazing friends here in the DFW area. (You know who you are)
- I have TwiCon in less than 4 months
- I don't work enough to cover my bills
- I've put on 7-10 pounds in the last couple of months after taking 40 off
- I don't have any money
- I am so ready to be in love. I read all the romantic stories and fall in love with the main character, then I start another book and fall in love with him, and the cycle resumes. But the problem is that I never actually find someone like the men in my books. Where is my Jace or Edward or Emmett or Erik or Lucas???? Anyone of them would make me happy. I guess I am truly a HOPELESS romantic.

Being Sick... and studying Astro.
I have an ear infection in my left ear AND I have a HUGE astro test on Monday. This sucks. The class is massively boring... and with an ear infection it makes it worse. Most of the time, I surf Facebook or the internet while I'm in class since the teacher, Dr. Nila, is lecturing in her broken English. I'm not racist, but sometimes I feel confused about her phrasing and use of words. Its annoying.

Midnight Release Party

First off, I want to say something to Ashley! Ash, you did a fantastic job at the party last night. I understand why you were so stressed, I would be too. That crowd was tough. I had so many people tell me that you did such an amazing job. And it is true.
Now, onto the party. It was supposed to have started at 10. But... people started showing up around 8:30. These teenage girls were were intense. Shirts made and booty shorts (their asses were hanging out) and makeup. I went to dinner to count ballots for the "Twilight Movie Awards." Which took forever. Allie and Claire were there with me and they helped me so I could actually eat. Thanks, ladies. So, I came back from lunch and took on the job of taking pictures. I hope Ash likes the pics I took. I was called to the register and the Twilight table. Jeremy told me to give away a "Director's Notebook" for the best t-shirt. Ashley turned it over to me, which I never expected. I picked 9 people. We had shirts ranging from "My boyfriend has: golden eyes, silver Volvo, and the ability to dazzle me" to my absolute favorite, "Yes, I'm a mom, Yes I read Twilight, Of course I love Edward, but please don't tell my husband!" That shirt won. She deserved it. The rest of the party went on smooth until time to line up for the purchases of the movie. Some how the line color were leaked and people tried lining up in the "I want to risk the Exclusive" line. So we switched around the colors and got everyone through the line with a DVD. It took us only 30 minutes to sell 125 DVDs and make $4500.00. Good job ladies and gentlemen!

Energy and why it lasts.

So... have you ever laid down to sleep and discovered that you have a million things running through your head? That happened to me at about 2AM. I had watched Made of Honor and realized I was really tired. So I turned out all the lights and went to bed. I laid there and tossed and turned and pondered. I knew I had a list of things to do before my sister and mom get home from Mississippi. So, I decided, after about an hour, to get up and clean. I rearranged my room, put the laundry on, and watched movies. Somewhere in there I ate a lemon bar.. I'm pretty sure that's why I'm still wired. Ugh. All that's left to do is run to Wal Mart and get a 3 tier shelf for my left hand wall. My books have begun to spill over onto the floor. Did I mention that its 7:43 in the morning? Because it is. I woke up at 11:20AM yesterday morning when my mom called me from my aunt's house to let me know when they were leaving. So here in roughly 3 hours, I'll have been awake for 24 hours. Never done that before.
Here's what's left to do:
- Take Kalin's box to the Post Office
- Get shelf at Wal Mart
- Half Price Books (Shopaholic books --> Takes Manhattan, & Sister, & Baby)
Currently watching Charmed.

First Blog!
Hey all!
So, this is the first blog I've ever done. I've given in to some suggestions to get one of these to talk things out. So here goes...
So, last night I went to the Borders in Allen for a book signing. PC and Kristen Cast, authors of the fabulous House of Night series which follows Zoey Redbird and her vampyre fledgling friends. Great series if you haven't read it. I was prepared to meet two people that were cocky and stuck up, but surprisingly they were both really kind. PC cusses like a sailor and embarrasses Kristen a lot. That was great. I guess you could say I had a preconceived notion that authors are snooty. But they weren't. They answered everyones questions perfectly. I asked her about the imprinting of Stevie Ray and Aphrodite and I learned that they'll be important in the upcoming books.
Today has been fantastic. A 180 degree turn around from yesterday. Starting at 7:55 pm monday night, I got on a bus from Meridian Mississippi to Fort Worth Texas. It was a 13.5 hour ride... ugh! Awful. So I was exhausted, then I lost my autographed book after the book signing and was treated really rudely by the employees at Borders. But today was a better day! I woke up and got to talk to my mom (whom is still in Mississippi), went to Borders in Allen and found my book on a display table by the YA section, got the Twilight Director's Notebook, AND got GQ with Rob Pattinson on the cover. But the best thing that happened to me today was the box that came in the mail from my Best Friend, kalin! It had the most sentimental presents in it. It was a painted jewelry box and matching picture frame and a gorilla with a matching tie! In the picture frame there was a poem that made me cry. I love Kalin so much. She is the best friend I've ever had! That was my day!
